Black Gold are not affiliated or connected to any organization. We are a bunch of freelancing creative souls who got involved in the hope that we could help get the word out across the globe and raise awareness about the Auchengeich colliery disaster.

Joan Clark is the centre contact and person who came up with this concept and as a result we got together to create blackgoldonline.co.uk, the music soundtrack and single track by Scottish pop/soul band Shifter X. The name of the project (Black Gold) is credited to Ray Martin - lead singer and songwriter of Shifter X

Through this website we had a target to attract people from all over the country. As a result we exceeded that expectation taking calls and emails from people all over the world.

There are sites out there with great info about Auchengeich and we have proudly linked to them but for our part we just wanted to use our creative works to bring people together.
